project details

Blackmore Manufacturing was in the process of designing its newest product: Wedge Fairing. Knowing that it is never too early to start marketing, we decided to develop the website in phases. Even before moving into full production, we set up a website to start marketing the fairing, drumming up interest, and getting feedback. The website showed renderings of the new fairing, and offered ways for interested customers to connect with the business.

The next step was to set up the e-commerce section of the website, with the ability to pre-order the fairings before their official release. Finally, the complete online ordering system was put in place. Now, Wedge Fairing runs all of its orders direct to the customer via the website.

WordPress was the system of choice for Blackmore Manufacturing. I suggested it, knowing it would scale up with the business, and was robust enough to handle the special details in ordering the fairings. It is flexible enough to tailor to the specific needs of the business, and also accessible to anyone in the business who needs to use the system even if they are not web development experts.
