project details

The Minnesota Center for Actuarial Mathematics (MCFAM) wanted to host the 51st Actuarial Research Conference (ARC). They were well-organized and well-equipped to host the event, but we all knew that to create a successful bid, their proposal would have to stand out.

I took their solid proposal and presented it in with rich photos and arranged it in a clear and easy to read layout… something the reviewers remarked positively about. Great content paired with great design is a winning combination!

After winning the bid, MCFAM also needed a program for the event itself. We designed a comprehensive booklet, taking into account printing costs. We made the most of black and white for the majority of the pages by leveraging typography and greyscale design. Beyond well-organized content, we considered how people could use the booklets, leaving ample space in the margins for people to take notes during talks, extra pages for notes and the end, and adding a quick-reference condensed schedule.
