project details
The Minnesota Center for Actuarial Mathematics (MCFAM) won their bid to host the 51st Actuarial Research Conference (ARC) and needed a website to advertise the event and communicate with guests.
The event website needed to hold a lot of information. The biggest challenge was to organize it in a clear, easy to use way. It also needed to be interactive. Guests needed a simple way to register and speakers needed to submit information about their presentations. I built a simple website with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JQuery and kept the navigation as clean as possible. We based the design on past ARC websites, to keep the style of the event consistent. MCFAM and I agreed that this could be livened up so I added the “hero” images to the pages that highlight the venue.
